Content creation is about creating more informed customers. Everyone can easily find out about your business online; the good and the bad. Social media plays a big part in this as people look for authentic information about products and services they buy.
Conversations about you will happen on social media, it’s just a matter of if you are part of those conversations.
Having a content plan & content strategy
Creating great social media posts isn’t easy. And it is easy to misstep. As we discuss with @JSM21_ a lot of the battle is understanding your audience, what it is they want to hear and see. Social media is about building relationships with your customers or potential customers.
Key to a content strategy is setting your goals. You want your social media to be relevant to your audience. You don’t want to post things off-brand or that don’t speak to what your business does or why you do it. Posts should be authentic!
You will be able to tell if your social media content is producing results by looking at the analytics. What gets the most reach? What gets the most engagement? Once you start tracking this data, you will be able to see if your content is resonating with your key demographics.
Social media is about telling a story, your story! Often times business and organizations will randomly post content without any thought into how it fits into an overall narrative. You want to sell your goods and services, but not directly. You want to sell your brand.
